The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Oviedo is one of the oldest faculties in Spain, founded in 1574. The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters is made up of six departments: Department of Philosophy, Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, Department of Oriental Languages and Literatures, Department of Classical Philology and Department of English and German Philology.
